Friday Update

Hey everyone, it’s the weekend, and we are ready for a rest and some downtime.We had a busy week, including our Toonies for Terry run, thanks everyone who donated to the cause, and hot lunch/Knight Day today. We did some fun experiments, and we spend a lot of time working with words and building them. We also made apple sauce this afternoon. So lots of fun has been had 🙂 I hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Bible Memory:

Our theme for Chapel for the month of October is Prayer.

Matthew 6:9-13 – “Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.”

Reminders and other Information:

  • comfort kits need to be returned by October 2nd – then they will be removed from the classroom
  • field trip this week – our field trip happens rain or shine, please dress appropriately and send along a lunch that is easy to eat out and about
  • Orange shirt day on Monday – Students may come to school wearing casual bottoms and an orange shirt. If you aren’t wearing an orange shirt, you are wearing your uniform as per usual. We will use this opportunity to talk to our student about how ‘Every Child Matters’.
