Friday Update

Well, next week marks the beginning of March … which means just two weeks until Spring Break. Time is flying by, and we have a lot that we are trying to get through … which is noted in the children’s question of “why don’t we get very much playtime anymore?” This week has been packed full of different events and things going on … from skating, to our kickoff assembly for Jump Rope for Heart, and Anti-bullying day, which included an assembly as well as activities and discussions in class about what it means to be a good friend. Bible Memory:

1 John 4:7-13 (NLT)

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.
