Friday Update

It has been a good week. Starting our insect reports has been a lot of fun. The students are learning how to research, and how to write reports. We have also started our story writing unit. Next week we will begin to write our own short stories. Lots of hard work going on!

Bible Memory:

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

Reminders and Other Information:

  • Remember your Home Reading
  • Spring Sing – we have an International Theme this year and the Grade 2’s will be singing a Japanese song. They have been asked to wear casual bottoms and a white t-shirt. Students need to be in the classroom by 6:15pm so that we can get lined up and ready to go in. Pick up after the Spring Sing will be from the classroom.
  • Blue Heron field trip on Wednesday – casual wear – prepared for rain or shine

Pictures from Our Week:

The students all worshipping during Chapel. This has got to be one of my favourite things to listen to, children worshipping with all their hearts!
