An eventful week in Grade 2/3 this week. Valentine’s day is always an exciting day, with so many treats and Valentine’s cards, and fun activities. Thanks for helping with the Guatemala Fundraiser by participating in the pay to wear casual day and the hot lunch. This week in math we have been Superheros! Students designed their superhero outfit, gave themselves a superhero name, and then had several math tasks that they had to complete … practicing their flying time, lifting heavy objects, knowing their surroundings, skills needed by a superhero … and then they completed tasks that allowed them to rescue people or animals, putting out fires, and helping people in a flood! These jobs have required them to think about many of the skills we have learned and been working on throughout the year. We have continued this week in Science talking about weathering, erosion, and deposition … completing some experiments and learning about what these things mean. A great week leading up to a well deserved long weekend. I hope you are all able to find time to rest and enjoy these days off!

1 John 4:7-13
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so love us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: he has give us his Spirit.”
I will be starting to assess Bible Memory near the end of this week.
