1 John 4:7-14

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves God has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.

Welcome Back!

Welcome Back!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break! I spent much of mine sick (which felt bound to happen after weeks of sickness rotating through our class!) but was able to enjoy the last few days getting out and about. I have enjoyed hearing all about the break from the students today, sounds like lots of fun was had.

Just wanted to send out a couple of pieces of information for this week, and then will have a more detailed post on Friday.

Wednesday, January 10th and January 17th – both of these Wednesdays are PJ/Cozy Casual Day. We had the one planned already, but the second one was added because we reached our goal with the canned food drive. Yay!

We have no spelling list this week.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas holidays have arrived! The students all did such an  amazing job in the concert this morning. I was so proud of them all. I want to say a HUGE thank you for the kind words, cards and gifts that so many of you blessed me with. I am looking forward to a restful break and hope that you all are as well! See you in the New Year!

Bible Memory:

Luke 2:3-14

And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared  with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests.”
