Weekly Update

Second week has been a very full and busy one. We are starting to learn some of the routines and expectations, and will continue to work on them in the weeks ahead.

Dates to Remember:

Friday, September 20th – Pro-d Day

Spelling:

No spelling list this week due to the short week.

Bible Memory:

Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

Psalm 100:2

Reminders and Other Information:

  • If you have not yet brought in kleenex boxes, paint shirt and gym shoes, please do so as soon as possible
  • A Criminal record check will be MANDATORY to be in the classroom or to participate in field trips, please make sure you have these on file at the office, or get the process started right away
  • Water bottles – I would encourage each student to have a water bottle … we don’t have a water fountain in the classroom, so it is important that they have a way to have a drink when hot and thirsty
  • Emergency Kits – some parents have been asking about these … information about putting these together will be coming home with your student on Monday. They need to be checked and updated, then returned to school.

Pizza Day

This is optional, but can save you having to pack lunch for one day of the week.

I will take orders after I do attendance in class each morning.

Pizza cards can be purchased at the office, or you may send cash with your child.

That’s a Wrap!

Well, that’s a wrap! Hard to believe this year has come and gone. It has been such a privilege to teach your children this year. They were such a wonderful bunch and we had so much fun together. I am so proud of each and everyone of them for all the hard work they put in, and for all of their achievements. It is a delight to watch them grow in leaps and bounds, and in all areas!

Thank you so much for all the gifts and kind words that have been shared with me here at the end. I was truly blessed!

I pray you all have a wonderful summer, soaking in the sun and enjoying some rest and family time 🙂

Friday Update

Well, we are in the home stretch, as we enter June next week. There are many things going on, lots to finish up and complete, and so much excitement and exhaustion as we enter into these last couple weeks. We have been talking about perseverance in chapel this last month, and we have been talking about persevering to the end of the school year. The countdown has continued to help motivate us in this: Monday we did some M&M math, Tuesday we cooled down with a refreshing drink at lunch, Wednesday we had rock, paper, scissor tournaments, Thursday we had lunch with our buddies, and Friday was a Minute-to-Win-It Games afternoon. Our games afternoon was a lot of fun, there was a lot of cheering and friendly competition going on!  I also just want to make sure that I acknowledge how proud I am of all of the Grade 2’s for the hard work that they put into the Spring Sing! They did such an amazing job, and it’s always such a blessing to watch them worship. The night, while for some of them was really long, and kept them up way past bedtime, was great. Thanks for joining us in that time together.
