Weekly Update

It has been a short, but great week, with lots going on! We kicked off the week on Tuesday with Chapel where Pastor Jeff came to share about what love looks like – referencing the passage in 1 Corinthians for us. We also had a great evening at Math Mayhem on Tuesday evening. It was awesome to see so many come out with their children to play some fun math games. Thanks for joining us 🙂 On Wednesday we had a surprise fire drill. We happened to be in the gym, but all the students were amazing. They stopped what they were doing and immediately looked to me for direction. There were a few worried students, but they were quickly put at ease knowing it was just a drill. And then on Thursday we had a lot of fun at our skating field trip. Lots of parents joined us as well, which is always so helpful (especially for tying up all those skates 😉 lol). Have a great weekend!

Reminders and Other Information:

  • remember to bring in home reading and Friday letters
  • Book Fair is on from Tuesday to Thursday in the lobby this week – come check it out and find some good books to read 🙂
  • On Wednesday, February 26th, we will be celebrating Pink Shirt Day. Students may wear casual clothes and pink shirts. We will spend time during the day talking, reading and doing activities that remind us the importance of being kind and treating all students with respect.
  • Our High School has a team of students who are going to Guatemala on Spring Break. They will be helping to build a school and bringing the love of Jesus to the people they meet. We are sponsoring one of the students, Jaylynn. She will be visiting with us and sharing about her upcoming trip, and we will be praying for her and the team as a whole. They have asked us to collect scissors, small rulers and erasers. Donations will be collected in the classroom until March 1, 2020. Thanks so much for partnering with us in this 🙂
