Psalm 138:1-5

“I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing praises to You before the gods. I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name. On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul. All the kinds of the earth will give thanks to You, O LORD, When they have heard the words of Your mouth. And they will sing of the ways of the LORD, For great is the glory of the LORD.

Home Reading:

On Monday, we are going to start our Home Reading program. Students succeed when they read. Reading occurs at school, but practice at home is also an essential part of your child’s education. Students are expected to read for a minimum of 20 minutes a day, five days a week. They may read on their own, with a parent, or with a sibling or friend.

Home reading books will be sent home, as well as their poetry books, on Monday. Please ensure that your child reads each night, and then returns the book, as well as their poetry book, each Monday when they will receive a new book. When they have completed their home reading for the day, they can fill out the form and get it signed by a parent. Please return the form when it is complete for a reading prize.

If you have any questions, please feel free to come and see me.
