We have had another fun week in Grade 3, and it is hard to believe we are about to begin the last week before Christmas. This week our theme’s were: Santa Claus day, Snow day, Candy Cane day, Stocking day, and Reindeer day. This morning we were able to pop in and watch the intermediates and high school in their dress rehearsal for the concert. It was great to watch them perform. I hope you all have a wonderful and restful weekend. One more week!

December 18th-20th – Last few days to participate in Highroad Helps! Let’s push hard in these last few days to reach our goal of 1,000 items to earn a cozy casual day when we return in January!

December 18th-20th – Christmas Clothes … students may wear festive sweaters, hats, socks, etc.

• Christmas Concert – K-3 – 9:30am – wear your ‘Best Christmas’ dress!

Luke 2:3-14

And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared  with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests.”

• Please RETURN ALL LIBRARY books this week!
• Grade Three’s are being asked to wear their Christmas Best for the concert on Thursday!
• Home Reading – be sure to be reading each night!
• Thursday is Library day – just a reminder to return library books on that day so your child can take out new books
• Gym strip goes home on Fridays and needs to be returned on Mondays!
• Don’t forget to send water bottles
