Friday Update

We have had a busy week this week, working hard! We have started a Math Unit on patterning, and we looked at both repeating and growing patterns. The students have had to slow down and think to see what is changing in a pattern when it is growing, and this has helped them to think differently about numbers. This week we also did a couple of experiments in Science. We have been looking at atoms and molecules and all the ‘stuff’ of matter. There curiosity and engagement has been so great. In Social Studies we have been talking about Indigenous groups in Canada, but this week we started to expand our view more, and have been looking at Indigenous Groups around the world. We did a short overview, but will be diving into the lifestyle and culture of each more in depth over the next little while. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!

Bible Memory:

1 John 4:7-14

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves God has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.
