We have jumped right back in, and have been working hard all week. We started our Life Cycles unit in Science, we are beginning to work more with subtraction in Math, and are talking about Easter for Bible. Have a great weekend!

Bible Memory:

Colossians 3:15-17

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus; giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Reminders and Other Information:

  • remember your home reading
  • With all of the beautiful weather, it is time to think about our summer planting. This Spring we are running a garden fundraiser called Growing Smiles, in the hope of raising $2,000 towards our school beautification project. Please go online at www.highroadacademygrowingsmilesfundraising.com to see the plant options available. You can place your order online or at the school office. All payment will need to go through the school office. Thank you for investing in Highroad Academy! Order forms went home earlier this week.
  • If you have said that you are coming on the zoo field trip, can you please write a note in your child’s planner indicating if you are planning to take the bus or drive yourself, I just need to ensure we have enough seats on the bus. I will also be creating groups over the next few days, so if you were a maybe, could you indicate one way or the other in your child’s planner. Thanks!
  • make sure Grandparents Day invitations have been handed out – if you don’t have grandparents around here, you may invite someone else to stand in for a grandparent 🙂
